Young has more than 26 years of experience in managing funds, underwriting loans, trading distressed debt, and operating startup companies. He held positions in traditional finance at Salomon Brothers Quantitative Research, Citigroup Special Situations Investment Group, and UBS Private Finance. In the crypto industry, he was Chief Investment Officer at Abra, CFO at AltLending, and CFO at Hedera. He has a BS and Masters from Cornell Engineering, and an MPA from Columbia SIPA.
Randy Song has been the head of institutional sales at various companies in the crypto industry such as Choise.com and Abra, leading AUM growth efforts across institutions and accredited investors. He started his career in traditional finance having worked at Western Asset, J.P. Morgan, Oaktree Capital, and Wilshire Associates. Randy has a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business.
Anthony is an investor with a decade of investment experience at some of the world’s largest asset managers, including AQR Capital Management and Morgan Stanley Investment Management (“MSIM”), with demonstrated expertise in quantitative, systematic, and relative-value strategies. Before Blockhouse, Anthony served as a portfolio manager at MSIM where he was responsible for designing and implementing systematic strategies in equity volatility. Prior to MSIM, Mr. Merriman served as a Vice President and portfolio manager at AQR Capital Management where he was responsible for managing $7B of exposure for AQR’s volatility, merger arbitrage, and event-driven equity portfolios. Anthony started his career as a portfolio manager and options market maker at Bluefin Trading and Peak6 Investments where he focused on VIX strategies. Anthony holds a B.Sc. in finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Darren was previously the Director of Finance at Swirlds Labs, which is the code developer for the Hedera network. Darren has over 30 years of accounting & operational experience, with 6 of those years in the startup and digital asset industry. He has a BA in Accounting from Hofstra University with CPA exam completion.
Tyler Adkison's career evolved from a professional athlete with the Los Angeles Dodgers to founding BlockTerra Capital, the first cryptocurrency hedge fund targeting professional athletes. He has developed a broad skill set that spans investment management, as well as consulting & advisory services for prominent organizations including Bittrex Global, Voyager, Abra, Robert F. Kennedy Jr's 2024 US Presidential Campaign, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He specializes in business development, partnerships, and event production.
